Paula Garcia Padilla, age 103, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011. A memorial service for Paula of Phoenix is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 25th at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd., in Chandler. She was born July 18, 1908 in Mexico and came to Arizona in 1945 from Texas. She was a retired cotton farm laborer. Paula was preceded in death by her husband Jose. Although they did not have children of their own, Paula mothered nieces and nephews and is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Valley of the Sun Memorial Park. A heartfelt thanks to the staff of Grace Healthcare of Phoenix. Their care was truly from the heart. A donation on behalf of Paula Padilla will be given to World Vision, a favorite non-profit organization.
