The Lupe Marin family lived next door to Rosie & Ramon Fierro and all their kids on Euclid Avenue in good old Globe. My brother, Art,and Felipe's broher, "Teco", were the best of friends & graduated together, Class of 1964, Globe High School. Felipe, as he was called then as a young boy, always had that great, wide & wonderful smile. He was truly loved by his brothers & sisters & by his wonderful parents. The Fierros and the Marins: bext door neighbors through thick & thin, good times & bad times, labor strikes & always with that support-the union-Local 586-AFL-CIO- attitude. I share the family's loss & am proud to have known Felipe's siblings, mom and Dad. Rosie, his mother, has a special place in my heart. She & Ramon raised good kids who grew up into honorable & kind persons. Euclid Avenue--that's what it's all about. Good bless you Felipe.

I was so sad to hear of Lipe's passing.  He was a highschool classmate. He had a great sense of humor and was one heck of a basketball player. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was a good man.

I had the pleasure of working with this extremely kind man and friend, whom I loved like a brother. I will always cherish the great time we had together in Hawaii with our wives and the one time we played golf together. Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to Pam and his entire family.

I met Mr. Fierro through Dave originally, then when I worked with Steve and Eddie I saw him pretty frequently.He was a really good guy. He was always so positive, upbeat and caring, and I could tell he did just about anything for his family, especially his children. I am thankful I got the pleasure of meeting Mr. Fierro, he is in my thoughts and prayers, as are my friends Dave, Stevie, Eddie and the whole family. Take comfort knowing he is at peace and in a better place

His bright smile, his sence of humor, his care and compassion for my son are just a few of the things that will always live with me. Rudy gave my son Tyler the nicname "Rocket Man" during a season of T-Ball. Every time I hear that song I think of Rudy, or any Mowtown classic. He will forever live with all of us in the tire business, and all who had the pleasure of having Rudy in our lives.

   To the Family of Lipe Fierro,

 It is with a heavy and hurting heart that I write a few lines to you about your husband,dad,and grandfather. Lipe Fierro is a lifelong friend, a fellow  Euclid Street Raider, a Globe Tiger teammate,a Brother, and the Godson of my parents Benny and Gloria Guerreo.
 Our parents were comadres and compadres. Our families grew up on the very envious and famous Euclid Street. As small kids we played, went to Central School and hung out with each other. There were many of us, 18 to be exact. We had a whole bunch of fun playing poles, tires, kick the can, hide and seek and anything else that didn't cost money. We were all in the same boat. We were raised by hard working fathers and mothers, lived in large families and didn't have much extra $$$$$. School Hill Park and Central School Basketball Courts were a hop, a skip and a jump away so with the permission of our parents we also made both locations a favorite hang out. We  would play countless hours against and with one  another on the football field, baseball diamond and on the Central's basketball courts. We played so much and for so many years that in time we all became really good in all three sports. After playing together all day long we would hangout with one another at the poles (the center intersection on Euclid Street) or at our other brother, Frank Renteria's house where we would lift weights, call chicks, act cool, watch Muhammed Ali fights, listen to oldies, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Beatles, the Beach Boy's, etc... Talking aout music oh man did Lipe love his music ! ! ! ! He sang and danced really good. He taught a lot of us non dancers how to dance the fast ones. Talk about music, yesterday morning (Saturday), I was working on my yard, listening to Kiko Radio, feeling really gloomy thinking big time about Brother Lipe and one of his  favorite songs, "I'm Your Puppet" came on. Wow it  was like Lipe was the DJ. What a coincidence and what timing. That put me over the edge. I shed a whole bunch of tears for my brother, my comrade, my buddy.
 Getting back to Euclid Street, we played, hung out and lived together as one as adolescents to our teens. We were all good kids. We did good in school and hardly ever got in trouble. We were raised proud and didn't want to hurt our parents. We use to rip up on all the other local schools(schools on the other side of the tracks),in all sports and were envied by many. We were known as "The Euclid Street Raiders". We were strong, cleancut, good students, were respectful to all, really good athletes, spiritually motivated, and most of we were all brothers and loved each other so much. We held our heads high, were proud of who we were and where we came from, were proud to be Globe Tigers and wore the name "EUCLID STREET RAIDERS" with honor, dignity, and class.  We take a loss of a brother Raider very hard and very deep. There are oh so many memories and so much love for us not to do so.
 So many memories and so many good and hard times to name. Times were different in our early years. I remember us Raiders walking to junior high and high school (1 mile away from Euclid) in the heat, in freezing temperatures, in the rain and in the snow. We were allowed a half hour for lunch during those days. We ran 1 mile home and then back to school for lunch each day. This helped Lipe to be in good shape for football, basketball and track.
 Lipe wore #23  in football and #23 in basketball. As kids we played together and as Globe Tigers we played along side each other. Lipe was really good in these sports, he was smart in school and really good in anything that he done. He  gave his all on every play and played with the heart of a "Tiger". What do you expect Lipe was a Raider and that is just who we were. 
 Most of all Lipe was a great person, husband, father, grandfather and comrade. There was a time when I didn't see much of Lipe. He was raising you guys being married and later having grand babies. I was doing the same. We would call each other, 
e-mail, or we would see one another in person usually in the hospital when one of my family members were sick. Lipe was always there giving us support. Lipe, I THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE. 
 It was always great seeing Lipe. A lot has happened in those years that we didn't see each other but it was always homecoming when we did. There are so many times and memories of Lipe that if anyone of you want to talk to me I would be glad to do so. It would be an honor for me to talk to you about Brother Lipe.
 I wasn't there for Lipe when he was really sick. I took it that he wanted his privacy and tht he wanted to be alone with his immediate loved one's. Brother Lipe is a true soldier and that is the way that a true soldier wants it to be. I as well as the other Raiders knew that and respect and respected his wishes. Our calls to one another have been many, that is the way that is when one of us falls. 
 In closing: Talk to Lipe everyday and include him in everything that you do (like you have always done) and he will never leave you. He is in a place where there is no more pain, no more sickness and suffering. He is with his mom, dad, brother and sister and he is looking out and protecting all of you from Euclid Street, Heaven.

I grew up knowing Lipe and his family and anytime you think of Lipe you have to think of his family because that is what he was all about first and last. A big tall kid with a bigger smile and a long easy lope for a walk that made most people run to keep up. We went years without seeing each other but nothing changed, the big smile was always there. Rest well my friend.

We will always remember Rudy -  such a fun and sincere "dude" with the kindest heart that always 
put a smile on our faces. He has left many memories in our hearts. Our prayers are with your family.
