

Philip R. Fierro, 60, passed away in his home on May 4, 2011 with family by his side. Rudy-Lipe was born on February 13, 1951 in Globe, Arizona to Rose and Ramon Fierro. He had 7 wonderful siblings, Ray, Robert, Loretta, Jim, Gloria, Pat and Mike. Rudy graduated from Globe High School in 1969. Throughout high school, he was active in track, basketball, football and softball, though his heart was in basketball. He joined the Air Force in 1971 until 1975, 4 years in Texas, and was promoted to Sergeant Material Facilities Specialist. Rudy then came back to Arizona where he went to Mesa Community College at nights studying business while working during the day selling tires. He was in the tire business for over 30 years, also managing most of the stores he worked for. In 2001, he started working for his brother Jim Fierro, owner of Fierro Utility Construction, underground utilities, as a supervisor/general manager until August of 2010 when Rudy was unable to work due to his illness. He is survived by his wife, Pam Fierro, and daughter Tanya along with his former wife, Mary Fierro and their 3 sons, David, Steve and Ed. Rudy coached his kids in softball and also coached girl's softball for over 30 years. Rudy also has 7 wonderful grandchildren whom he will always hold deep within his heart and watch over from heaven. If Rudy-Lipe were here to speak to us, he would remind each of us to live life to the fullest, love and laugh. There are not enough words in this world to describe Rudy......he was the best that anyone could have known and the light of everyone's life.
Family and friends are invited to attend 10:00 AM Rosary Services and 10:30 AM Funeral Mass services Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3450 W. Ray Road, Chandler, AZ.
