R. Dan Davis

R. Dan Davis, age 83, of Chandler, AZ, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024. Born on November 2, 1940, in Atlanta, GA, to Richard and Stevie Davis, Dan led a life full of love, dedication, and service. Dan graduated from Georgia Tech, where he laid the foundation for a successful career with VALIC, specializing in providing tax shelters and annuities to medical professionals. A proud veteran, Dan served his country in the United States Air Force, always remaining humble about his service.

On May 29, 1964, Dan married the love of his life, Carolyn, in Fairburn, GA. Together, they built a beautiful life marked by love, respect, and devotion. Dan’s greatest joy was his family; he cherished every moment spent with his beloved grandchildren. An avid baseball fan, Dan recently fulfilled a dream by attending a World Series game to cheer on his Diamondbacks.

Dan is survived by his wife of 60 wonderful years, Carolyn, and their twin sons, Darrell (Nicole) and Todd Davis (Sarah). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Jackson, Daniel, Sam, Jake, and Emma Davis.

Dan’s life was a testament to the values of hard work, integrity, and love for family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A private service will be held to honor Dan’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, to a charity of your choice, in his memory.
