Raymond Thomas Deal

Raymond Thomas Deal passed away on February 27, 2015 at the age of 48 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a resident of Ahwatukee, Arizona. He leaves behind his wife Tammy, daughter Jenna and son Logan.

Ray was born on April 3, 1966 in Atlanta, Georgia and spent his childhood in Ohio, California and Saudi Arabia. In his professional career, he was a senior software developer at a satellite telecommunications company and was very passionate about his work. Ray proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. His greatest love was his family and spending time with his children. He was a Little League Baseball Coach for his son and loved to watch his daughter swim competitively. His interests included travel, spending time outdoors hiking, camping, fishing and mountain biking. He also loved spending time with friends and co-workers - a true friend to many and a social butterfly at heart with a quick wit and contagious personality. Ray savored life with high energy and an adventurous spirit. He was a much loved and devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend and co-worker who will be deeply missed every day.

Ray is survived by his wife and children as well as his parents, David Deal and Dorothy Deal, sisters Nina Trimble (Jeff), Sonia Roth (Kevin) and Claudette Casey (Charles), brother Doug Deal (Lauren) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, Ray is survived by father-in-law Phil Rusher, mother-in-law Karen Rusher and sister-in-law Kimberly Rusher. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmie Deal.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Ray on Saturday, March 21, 2015, 2:00p.m., at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at Hurricane Grill & Wings, 7450 W. Chandler Blvd., Chandler, Arizona.
