Holmes, Robert (Bob) Clinton 81 years old, passed away peacefully with his wife a his side on January 5, 2013, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Rochester, Indiana on August 7, 1931. He proudly served 4 years in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. As a young adult, he moved to California and raised a family. In 1991 Bob met the love of his life, Sandra. The married, spent a few more years in California then retired in 1995 and move to Sun Lakes, Arizona. They traveled and enjoyed Jazz Festivals throughout the Southwest. Bob was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death in 2011 by his son, Patrick. Bob is survived by his forever loving wife, Sandra, and his children, Michael, Kevin, Tracy (Rick), Kristen, stepson Richard (Theresa), and their families, including 7 grandchildren. Bob always had a bright welcoming smile, and all who met him became his friend. Graveside services with military honors will be held on January 12, 2013 at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, Arizona. Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
