Robert F. Durben, 93, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, passed away on July 30, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Hansen Durben, and the late Dorothea Harrington Durben; dear father of Mark (Betty) Durben and Patti (Randy) Smith; dear grandfather of Rachel, Bryan, Chris, Gabriel (Stephanie) and John (Christina); dear great grandfather of River, Claire and Zaine; dear brother of Marguerite Scholtzen and George Durben. Dear companion of Vivian Cox. Our dear uncle, great uncle, and friend of many. Contributions to Hospice of the Valley, or Sun Lakes Un. Methodist Church are appreciated. Mr. Durben was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Elk's Club, and Sun Lakes Softball. He played on Racine (WI) Metal Parts fast pitch softball team that won back to back western division championships in the American Softball Association, (semi-pro league). He also won 4 senior softball world championships with the Sun Lakes team & the San Diego Silverhawks.
