

Ronald Elwood Alewine, 89, died May 21, 2026. He was born June 23, 1936, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Elwood and Gertrude Stewart Alewine, and was a resident of Sun Lakes, Arizona. Ron lived the majority of his life in Apache Junction, Arizona.
Ron graduated from Glendale High School in 1955 and attended Arizona State University before enlisting in the U.S. Army, serving from 1959 to 1961. Throughout his life, Ron was known for a steady devotion to the responsibilities before him—approaching each season with diligence, quiet faith, and a generous spirit toward others.
Ron owned and operated Alewine A/C for many years, providing air conditioning services to residents across the East Valley and Phoenix metro area. His hard work and reliability were evident in the care he brought to his business and to those he served. He also lived briefly in Bakersfield, California, where he was a member of the Southern California Pipe Trade Union.
On August 18, 1968, Ron married Claudine Carolyn DeLoach in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ron is survived by his wife, Claudine; son, Ron (Lisa) Alewine; daughter, Carolyn (Kevin) Gibbs; daughter, Sharon (Danny) Randall; daughter, Janice (Rick) Lines; son, Derry (Alicia) Brown; daughter, Angie (Danny) Chaudoin; son, Charles Alewine; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Cargill; and his son, Steven Brown.
Ron cherished time with his family and found joy in simple, shared moments—golfing, spending time with his wife at the casino, and fishing in South Carolina with his nephew, Neil. In these everyday pleasures, his kind-hearted nature and deep devotion to those he loved were unmistakable.
Ron was a life member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, VFW, and Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where his faithful life and steady commitment reflected the values he held close.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be sent to Hospice of the Valley of Arizona.
