85 of Chandler, formally of Ft. Wayne, IN., passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010. Tom served in the 101st airborne from 1944 to 1945 during D-Day, Invasion of Normandy and was a POW in Germany.
He retired from TWA Airlines after 32 years of service. Tom is survived by his loving wife Jeanne of 61 years. Daughters Pam (Bob) Goodson, Dede (Rick) Kauffman, Son Mark Baillie, 3 grandchildren David and Jennifer Savage and Katie Baillie along with 3 Great grandchildren Holland Woods and Marcus and Maya Wady. 2 sisters Sally Sandusky of Granada Hills, CA., and Jane Smith of Ft. Wayne, IN. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his parents Clara Burdette Closson and George Samuel Baillie. Sincere appreciation for the care of Hospice Inspiris entire staff and Nancy, Stephanie, Sharon, Ralph, Pat and especially Tom's in home care nurse and friend Porter Vines. Without these dedicated people we could not have fulfilled Tom's last wishes.
Visitation will be Monday, March 15th from 10am to 12pm, with Funeral Service to follow at 12pm at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, Chandler, AZ 85248.
