V. Elaine Ames 93 of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 5, 2014. Elaine was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After completing her training as a nurse, Elaine served oversees as a U.S. Army surgical nurse during World War II and continued her nursing career in Phoenix until retirement. Elaine was also a proud mother and is survived by her sons Brad and Scott, seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Elaine and her husband Robert, who had predeceased her, are to be interred together.
