Virginia J SCHAEFER, age 96, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Virginia was born in Cleveland, OH on June 16, 1925. She received her Practical Nurse Certificate from Practical Nurse School of Elyria, Ohio. She was married to George W Schaefer on May 2,1942 in Medina, Ohio. She was a member of the Catholic Church and had a passion for helping others.
She is survived by her children George Jr and Miriam, Bonnie Vest and Richard, Linda Kapucinski, John and Marla; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George; her parents, Frank Yadvirshis and Mary Tamashasky Chittock; her brothers Anthony Thomas and Al Thomas; and her great grandson Luke Gauman.
A memorial service for Virginia will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248.
