A graveside service for Albert R. Shealy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church cemetery in Chapin. The family will receive friends at the residence and at the graveside following the service.
Mr. Shealy, 76, was born in Chapin, South Carolina to the late Geneva Ballington Shealy and the late W. E. Shealy. He was a lifetime member of Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher. He was also in charge of the Mt. Horeb Cemetery for a number of years. Mr. Shealy worked for Otis Elevator Company for 21 years, the South Carolina Labor, Licensing Department for 10 years, and retired from the State of South Carolina after working for the Budget and Control Board, General Services for 11 years, where he was in charge of all of the state government elevators. He was an avid Clemson football fan, where he received a Resolution from the Lexington IPTAY Club for attending 402 football games in a row at home and away.
Mr. Shealy is survived by his wife, Sharon S. Shealy; brother, Charlie Shealy (Ann); sisters, Annette Stuck and Peggy Frick (Charley); sisters-in-law, Patsy, Kay, and Anne Shealy; brother-in-law, John DiMascio and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Billy, Bob, James Carol, Wendell and John Shealy; sister, Nancy DiMascio and brother-in-law, Marion Stuck.
