CHAPIN - Funeral services for Larry Watts Metts, 76, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Chapin, SC, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel.
Mr. Metts was born March 18, 1939 in Little Mountain, SC and passed away Monday, October 26, 2015. He was the son of the late Colie S. Metts and Juanita Watts Metts.
He was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, retired from civil service at Ft. Jackson and was a member of the Boyleston Masonic Lodge 123. Mr. Metts was an avid outdoorsman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Metts is survived by his wife, Linda Slice Metts of Chapin; son, Gary Metts (Ashley) of Chapin, son Ron Metts (Marjorie) of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Trinity, McKenzie and Colie, brother; Colie Merle Metts of Conway, sisters; Jeanette Fulmer of Little Mountain and Debbie Crider of Florence.
