PROSPERITY – Funeral services for Mark Kamke will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Newberry County Shrine Club, 196 Shrine Club Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
Mr. Kamke was born March 28, 1961 in Appleton, Wisconsin and passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. He was a son of Raymond and Mardelle Kamke.
Mark grew up in Appleton, WI. After high school, Mark proudly served his country in the Army, Army Reserve, and Naval Reserve for 20 years, retiring in 2005. In 1999, he moved to South Carolina and has worked throughout the state as a CRNA since then. His greatest love is his daughter, Caroline. He was extremely proud of and excited for all her activities. He also had a love of boating and spent countless hours on Lake Murray every summer. He was affectionately known as “Doc” by many. Mark will be fondly remembered and missed by many family and friends. Gone Too Soon.
Mr. Kamke is survived by his daughter, Caroline Kamke; brothers, Mike and Jeff Kamke; sister, Christine Zierler (Robert) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Mardelle Kamke.
