Funeral services and interment for Marsha K. Alverson, 74, will be held at Nazareth Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 680 Nazareth Church Rd, Moore, SC, at 5 PM on Saturday, 14 October 2023. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Friday, 13 October 2023 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel, SC, 29036.
Marsha Alverson was born 13 October 1948 in Spartanburg, SC and passed away on Wednesday, 4 October 2023. She was the daughter of the late Hollis and Margie Caldwell of Spartanburg, SC. She was a 1966 graduate of Dorman High School in Spartanburg, SC, and was a government employee working for the United States Geological Survey, and retired as a Congressional Staffer for Congressman James E, Clyburn.
Marsha Alverson is survived by sons: David K. Alverson, Steven M. Alverson (Jennie); grandchildren: Naomie and Imogen Alverson of Hove, England; brother, Carroll Caldwell of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Anita Edwards (Mike) of Columbus, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
