CHAPIN – Funeral services for Michael “Monty” Lamont DeLoach, 64, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Chapin United Methodist Church in Chapin. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Chapin United Methodist Church, 415 Lexington Ave. Chapin, SC 29036
Mr. DeLoach was born July 27, 1950 in Aiken, SC and passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014, after a courageous battle with melanoma. He was a son of Clarence Lamont DeLoach and the late Helen Mathews DeLoach. He was a member of the Chapin United Methodist Church.
Mr. DeLoach retired from security at VC Summers Nuclear Plant and was self-employed for many years selling cars. He was an avid Gamecock fan since birth. He loved the lake and spent many years boating with friends on Lake Murray.
Mr. DeLoach is survived by his wife, Nancy Best DeLoach; father, Clarence Lamont DeLoach; step mother, Kirby DeLoach; sister, Cheryl Kelly (Wade); brothers, Rick and Bill DeLoach; step-children, Gary Best and Kelly Hale; step-grandchildren, Wyatt, Abby, Peyton, Baleigh, Cameron and Aunt Fay.
