Joanne Marie Flaherty

She was born October 25, 1957 a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mary Anne Flaherty. She was also preceded in death by her brother E.J. Flaherty.

Joanne was a graduate of Charleston High School and attended West Virginia University. She had worked for General Seafood and Simpson Family for 20 years. She was presently working for Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC.

She is survived by one brother Paul J. Flaherty and wife Becky of South Charleston, one sister Loretta White and husband Tom of Charleston, two nephews, Michael White and fiancée Sarah Landers and J.C. White of Charleston, one niece Mary Catherine Flaherty and one nephew Joseph E. Flaherty both Tennessee, dearest friend and companion Karen Lanham of Dunbar, and her beloved Dachshund, Molly.

The family of Joanne would like to thank Dr. Michelle Jackson and the Staff of Thomas Memorial ICU for their great care and kindness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 1pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 420 Lee St. West, with Pastor Johnna Russo officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
