

Shirley Williamson Jarrell went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 6, 2015. She was born May 19, 1935 in Beardsfork, Fayette County, WV. She was the daughter of Leroy and Helen Williamson. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary. She is survived by her loving husband Charlie of 59 years, daughter Kim Amerson (Ben) of Sandersville GA, son Kevin of Atlanta, GA, sister Joan Dohm (Dick) and brother Keddy. Shirley was an active member of the First Church of God. One of her greatest joys was the two years she spent at Warren Wilson in Swannanoa, North Carolina. Shirley spent her life taking care of her husband, children, parents and anyone else that she could help in any way. She was the first to volunteer in all of the activities that her children were involved in from kindergarten through high school. She was a scout leader, home room mother, band mother, chaperone, majorette sponsor etc. In addition she was a Red Cross volunteer. She was always smiling and a perfect example of a devoted Christian wife, mother and friend. The family would like to say a very special thank you to ALL of her many care givers at Charleston Gardens. MaMa Shirl to Amber, MawMaw to LaTasha, Emily, Kase and Patricia and Shirley Gail from Nellis to Angie. Shirley loved all of you dearly. Also a special thank you to Ron at Charleston Gardens and the angels from Hospice who helped in ways that cannot even be explained. A brief visitation will be held 11 A.M. to Noon Tuesday, June 9, 2015 prior to a funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Wilson Funeral Home, 420 Lee St. West.
