Addie was born February 29, 1944 to John T. Campbell and Georgia Mae Francis in Canandaigua, NY.
She was a self-educated woman and later went on to graduate as a Registered Nurse. Addie saved many lives for over three decades, initially specializing in critical care, and later becoming an addiction nurse and lastly a Home Health Care nurse.
In 1962, Addie met Joe, the love of her life, in Rochester, NY and went on to have their children Joe Jr., Roni and Andrea.
As members of the Gold Prospectors Assn. of America, Joe and Addie loved to travel across the country and up and down the coast camping, casino hopping and panning for gold.
Addie retired to a life of entrepreneurial soap and candle making in addition to a shrink wrap business which she loved. She enjoyed a good murder mystery, true crime stories, and appreciated a competitive game of cards. Addie was known for her high intelligence and great sense of humor.
Family members will dearly miss sitting with her in her office anytime day or night gathering wisdom and sage advice. She was the stronghold and anchor that held the family together.
Addie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Joe of 62 years, and her brothers Thomas and David. She is survived by her children Joseph, Veronica and Andrea and her grandchildren Kyle, Alexis, Brandon, Aubrey, Madison and Addison, her great grandson Sampson, and siblings Sharon, Jeffrey, Karen and Bruce.
The family will be privately celebrating her life and honoring her passing with a ceremonial spreading of Joe and Addie's ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
