

Alexander Rusak, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on May 24, 1937, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Alexander lived a life marked by dedication to family and service to his country.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force who rose to the rank of Major during his distinguished career, Alexander exemplified commitment and leadership. His time in the military instilled values that he carried throughout his life—integrity, discipline, and an unwavering sense of duty. After retiring from active service, he transitioned into a career as a real estate investor. Alexander's keen eye for opportunity led to many successful projects and allowed him to establish lasting relationships within the community.
Above all else was Alexander's love for his family. He is survived by his cherished daughter Karen Slocum and her husband Ben; son David Rusak and daughter-in-law Julie; son Steven Rusak; along with five adoring grandchildren: Henry, Jake and Cooper Rusak; Annika and Alexander Slocum. Each grandchild held a special place in Alexander’s heart—he took immense joy in their accomplishments and milestones while showering them with affection that will forever be remembered.
A memorial service will be held for his family after the holidays.
