Anita Geldman Corn

“Chana”

Charlotte - Chana, 68, passed away December 8, 2015. She was in the company of her loving family.

Born February 5, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Rubin and Gitel Geldman. Chana spent her life devoted to teaching children as an elementary school teacher and literacy facilitator. Chana was actively involved at all of the local Charlotte Synagogues, regularly attending services and religious classes.

Chana was an avid traveler, having visited Israel, China, India, Ireland, and Egypt among other places. She regularly volunteered as an usher for plays and other performances, and she enjoyed supporting local Charlotte museums and playhouses.

She is survived by her children, Mara (John) Gose of Charlotte, NC, Joshua (Lisa) Corn of Atlanta, GA, and Rachel (Gordon) Cohen of Baltimore, MD; and grandchildren, Jacob, Benjamin and Syrna Gose and Bayla and Ruby Cohen; as well as her sister, Esther (Aryeh) Merzel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. December 10th, 2015, at the Hebrew Cemetery.
