Anna Springs Price

A celebration of her life will be at Mulberry Presbyterian Church on Friday,

January 16, 2015. Burial will be in the church cemetery before the

service at 10:00 a.m. and the service will be at 11:00 a.m.

She was born in the Mulberry community of Mecklenburg County on

September 10, 1916, and was the eldest daughter of Franklin Alexander

Springs and Virginia Todd Springs.

She was married to Fred Osborne Price on December 5, 1937, and had four children—Jerry O. Price of

Indian Land, S.C., wife, Alice K. Price; Judith P. Topkins of Cary, NC

husband, Robert M. Topkins; Ronald F. Price of Overland, Kansas, wife,

Anna S. Price; and Allan K. Price of Fripp Island, S.C., wife, Susan W.

Price—all of whom survive; additional survivors include six

grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Fred O. Price, in 1989,

her brother, Worth A. Springs, and her sister, Helen S. Maslanka.

Mrs. Price was a lifelong member of Mulberry Presbyterian Church and

in 1974 was honored with a Life Membership by the women of that

congregation.
