Anne Hatcher

Charlotte – Anne Hatcher, 77, passed away peacefully in her home on October 4, 2016. She was born on October 8, 1938 at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte to the late Salem and Lillian Motter Suber. She was proud to be in the first graduating class of Charlotte Catholic Schools in 1956. Anne enjoyed her first two years of college at Saint Mary’s of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and was happy to return to Charlotte’s Queens University for an Economics Degree.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Cole Hatcher; her daughter, Anne-Scott Hatcher; her granddaughter, Grace Anne Fabyan; her grandson, Cole Salem Fabyan and their father, Barry Fabyan. Anne is also survived by her goddaughter, Dana Bottoms McGinn and her nephew, Salem Robert Suber IV. She was preceded in death by her brother, Salem Robert Suber, III.

Anne Hatcher loved life. Her treasure was her family and her passions were her friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Rd., Charlotte, with Reverend Frank O’Rourke, Celebrant. Inurnment in the church columbarium will follow. Friends will then be received in the Fellowship Hall.
