Born January 3rd, 1958 in Rock Hill, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Lawrence, ‘Buck’, and Gracie Walker. After attending Indian Land High School, he went into the automotive field as a service advisor; where he later moved into management. He continued in this field for 45 years. He achieved Diamond Status through Chrysler. He later left the automotive field and worked at MIDCON Wiring Solutions for 3 years.
The joy of Tony’s life was his family. He cherished his wife, the former Sandra Catoe whom he married July 31st, 1982. They would have celebrated 43 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to two wonderful children. He was T-paw to four amazing grandchildren.
Tony enjoyed racing go-karts and helping his children race. He spent his free time working on go-karts in the shop with his children and friends. All of his life, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved NASCAR, Jimmy Buffett, The Eagles, old country music, and was a lifelong USC Gamecock fan. In the last few years, he loved spending time with his friends and family in North Myrtle Beach, where he lived. He loved following the beach bands, especially Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot. Tony wanted to be remembered as the honest, truthful, caring, and fun loving jokester as everyone knew him.
He is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, Sandra Catoe Walker; two children, Ashley Walker Smith (Jason) and Seth Andrew Walker (Megan); four grandchildren, Andrea ‘Andi’ Walker, Greyson Earwood, Wyatt Smith, and Lincoln Walker; as well as his sister, Carrie Walker Riggs; and many nieces and nephews. He also had a loving companion, Zoey ‘ZoZo’.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Buck and Gracie Walker; as well as his brother Larry Walker.
