Aristides "Arys" Chumpitazi

Arys was preceded in death by her beloved children, David Rivera and Judith García. She is survived by her devoted husband of more than 50 years, Rubén Chumpitazi; grandchildren, Adaris González, Samuel González, José González and Manuel Rivera-Hernández; great-grandchildren, Jodie Arthur, Ashley Arthur, Elijah González, Tatyana González, and Jonathan González; great-great-grandchild Jodeci Bousquet.

Arys was known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith. She loved sewing, gardening, crafting, and especially cooking for her family and friends. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the delicious aroma of her cooking.

As a dedicated member of Good Shepherd Church of Charlotte, Arys’ strong faith and kind spirit inspired many and led others to the Lord. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart and the way she made everyone feel like family.

A memorial service celebrating Arys’ life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Church, 13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC 28273. A reception will follow.
