Born in Belmont on September 26, 1930 to Jennings Brian Roberts and Beulah Whitworth, Audrey spent many years working alongside her husband James Roland Martin at their antique business located at Metrolina Expo in Charlotte. Audrey also spent more than 70 years working at Beltone Hearing Aid.
Always a well-dressed lady, Audrey’s love for her family was her top priority. She was an avid reader of the daily newspaper and books, had an extensive flower garden and loved watching sports on TV.
Left to mourn her loss are her devoted children Sandra Martin Porter and Brian Roberts Martin; cherished grandsons Chad and Josh Porter; loving sister Judy Hipps and nephew John Hipps.
Audrey was preceded in death by her treasured parents, devoted husband James Roland Martin, beloved son James R. Martin, Jr, precious grandson Tommy Gable and dear sister Pam Roberts Nabers.
The family will greet friends at 9am on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at McEwen Funeral Service located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte. A graveside service is planned for 10am at Sharon Memorial Park at the same address.
