Barbara Ray Davis, 86, of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025. Born January 1, 1939 in Kings Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Augustus "Jack" Ray and Ruby (Bell) Taylor. She was the wife of the late Dennis Davis. They shared 60 years of marriage before his death in 2020.
A graduate of Harding High School, Barbara was a retired book keeper for numerous trucking companies.
An avid football fan, Barbara enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Lori Davis Thornton and husband Dennis and Scott Davis and wife Patty; grandchildren, Austin Davis, Sarah Davis, Alex Davis and Tanner Davis; former daughter-in-law, Stacy Davis; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her two sons, Keith and Donnie Davis; sister, Frances (Tommy) Sigmon and her brother, Donald (Emily) Ray.
A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held Friday, October 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
