Barbara Anne (Marks) Muller, aged 73, passed away December 15, 2025, in Charlotte, NC. Born and raised in Madison, VA, Barbara built deep roots in neighboring Orange County, where she lived and worked in a variety of positions the majority of her life.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After dating only a few short months, she and Glenn married, building a life filled with friends, family, and laughter. For Barbara, her family, but most especially her grandchildren, Meredith and Andrew, were the center of her world, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.
In her free time, Barbara loved being outdoors, tending to her home and flower gardens, which were her pride and joy. Music was also a source of joy, with her stereo often set to an alarmingly loud volume, especially if you happened to be in her car. She likewise found tremendous joy in her outings with her friends, especially those to Hickory Tavern with her newest pals in Charlotte and her dinners at Silk Mill Grille with her lifelong friends from Orange.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Whitney (Muller) Cook, and her husband Rob of Fort Mill, SC; her grandchildren, Meredith and Andrew; and multiple nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Virginia Marks of Madison, VA, and by her beloved husband of 44 years, Glenn Edward Muller.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in Orange, VA following the holidays.
