Charlotte, NC - Mrs. Mason, 85, passed away on December 5, 2013 after a long illness. She was born on September 27, 1928 in Beaufort, NC, the daughter of the late Joseph Vance Fulford and Gladys Smith Fulford of Beaufort, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Phillip R. Mason of Statesville, NC, and her brother, William Vance Fulford of Beaufort, NC.
Mrs. Mason is survived by her children, Stephanie Vance Mason of Charlotte, NC, Alex Mason Hopkins of Denver, NC, and Phillip R. Mason, Jr. of Statesville, NC; and her sister, Sally E. Fulford of Beaufort, NC.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
