Bertha Stout

At the age of 18 Bertha met Donald Stout, who would soon become the love of her life. The two married young and would spend well over 50 years together. From this union they had 3 children, Donny, Ronny, and Debby. Bertha and Donald were affectionately known by their family as “MawMaw” and “PawPaw”. She also had her fur baby Gracie, who was by her side to the very end. Maw was such a special woman and a vital part of the family, who meant the world to her. Through her never-ending support she touched many lives and taught many lessons along the way. Her vibrance and liveliness shown bright through her passion for gardening and ability to grow the most beautiful flowers. Her memory will live on through every bloom of life’s blossoms.

Bertha is predeceased by her wonderful husband, Donald “PawPaw”; her son, Ronny; her sister Shirley and her parents, Charlie and Emma.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her son Donny and wife Linda, her daughter Debby; grandchildren, Brandy, Andy, Jessica and wife Tamara, Summer, Lizzy and Brandie; great grandchildren, Kelsey, Shaun, Lane, Emma, and Ava; great-great grandchildren, Kalanii, Israel, Wrenleigh, Zimmerman, and Levi; sisters Joyce, Mary and Ruth, brother Chuck, and niece Minette along with many other family and friends.

A graveside service for Bertha will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Northlake Memorial Gardens, 11001 Alexandriana Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
