Bette Joyce Shaver

Bette Joyce Shaver, 82, daughter of the late William and Dorothy Deason, and wife of the late Marvin Shaver, went to be with her Lord and Savior May 19th, 2022. Her greatest joy came from her faith, family, and many friends. She found much comfort and pleasure reading the scripture and listening to gospel music. Her passions were attending church functions, meeting with her Red Hat ladies club, sewing, and gardening-as she was known for having a green thumb! She was always so sweet and funny with a heart of gold.

She is survived by her brother, Paul Deason; daughters, Brenda Shaver-Lanning and Nancy Shaver Morris; grandchildren, Kristin Blair, Matthew Greene, Jessica Morris, Kayla Lanning, the late Savannah Morris, and Rebecca Lanning; great grandchildren, Landon Greene, Reily Greene, Declan Blair, Bailey Soriano, and unborn Sylvie Soriano.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, graveside, on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte, NC. Flowers may be sent to Forest lawn West funeral home.
