Betty Kirby, 88, of Charlotte entered into heaven on January 11, 2013. A native of Charlotte, Betty attended Central High School. She and Jack enjoyed camping, traveling and church, but most of all she loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Stonewall J. “Jack” Kirby Sr. She is survived by her children, Barbara (John) Hopkins, Patsy (Nick) Schachner and Jackie (Phyllis) Kirby; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild due this spring.
A visitation will be held at Southside Baptist Church, 301 Elmhurst Rd., Charlotte on Tuesday January 15 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm with a 2:00 pm funeral service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Betty’s memory to Southside Baptist Church.
