Beverly (Bev) was born on June 15,1939 in Wyandotte, MI. She attended Theodore Roosevelt High School (class of 1957). She graduated from Akron City Hospital’s Idabelle Firestone School of Nursing in 1960. Bev worked in several nursing roles over the life of her career from teaching at a junior college to working in doctor’s offices, hospitals, and nursing homes. She obtained a Bachelor of Health Arts from the University of St. Francis in 1983 after which she worked in social services in nursing home settings. She loved working with the elderly.
In her free time, Bev enjoyed singing (she had a beautiful voice), playing the piano, sewing, gardening, and cooking/baking. She was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, wife, daughter, sister, and aunt.
Bev is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas; her daughter Lizabeth and her son-in-law James. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents V. Glen and H. Raymell English and her brother Howard G. English.
The family kindly requests no formal service be held. Instead, they invite you to take a moment for personal reflection and cherish the memories shared.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cadillac Philharmonic Club; P.O. Box 134; Cadillac, MI 49601. Bev was a past president of this organization, and it was near and dear to her heart.
