Bonnie Knowles, 82, passed away on September 2, 2011. She was born in Boone, NC on August 26, 1929 to George and Mabel Ward. A graduate of Lees McRae College, Bonnie enjoyed a 50 year career in nursing. She loved to garden, travel and square dance, but most of all she loved her family.
Bonnie is predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, John W. Knowles. She is survived by her two sons Wesley (Colleen) and Walton Knowles and a sister, Georgia Gillis.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7 at from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel. 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte followed by a 3:00 pm service to celebrate Bonnie’s life.
