Bousady Phongphouvanh

Bousady was born on January 1, 1926, in Laos. She was a mother to seven children and grandmother to thirteen children. She treasured being a mother and grandmother to her family and welcomed any opportunity to spend time with them. She was also a devout Buddhist and enjoyed going to the temple.

Bousady was an unforgettable soul who was very kind, loving and peaceful to everyone she met. She loved to cook and make traditional Laos food. She also enjoyed going to the casino and spending time in her garden. Bousady made a lasting impact on her friends and family and she will be greatly missed.

Boudsay is survived by her children, Oudane Phongphouvanh, Doung Phongphouvanh, Kevan Phongphouvanh, Ophone Phongphouvanh, Vimenexay Phongphouvanh, Phieng Phongphouvanh and Malaykhan Phongphouvanh; and her grandchildren, Ny, Po, Touane, Mercedes, Simon, Ohahm, Victor, Olay, Kiet, Cathy, Jasmine, Phone, and Mee.

A visitation for Bousady will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. Family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home at 11:00 AM prior to Memorial Service at 1 PM at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Services. Bousady will be cremated following service.
