Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marilyn; his daughter, Carrie Brethauer and her husband Gary Brethauer; and his son Bruce Corfield and wife, Norida Torriente. He is also survived by his grandchildren Heidi Brethauer, Keller Corfield and Ilsa Corfield.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. A funeral service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 2009 W. Arrowood Rd., Charlotte, NC on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at York Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh or The American Cancer Society.
