She was born in Rowan County, NC and was the daughter of the late Henry and Jessie Koon Stirewalt. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edgar Mecimore and sister, Eleanor Sechler.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Deborah Withers and husband Burleigh of Gastonia, NC; Patti Allen and husband Arthur of Newbern, NC and Cynthia Garska of Mount Holly, NC; sisters Jewel Lowder and Louise Nickelson. Eight grandchildren, Stephanie Williamson, Tabitha Couch, Jonathan Williamson, Brendon Withers, Haley Withers, Josua Garska, Kara Garska and Randal Garska, five great grandchildren, Tristan Williamson, Katilyn Couch, Jake Couch, Lillian Couch and Rocco Williamson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Service. Interment will follow the service in the Garden of Christ at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm.
