He was born on 15th of January, 1954 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late James Scott Grey and Ollie Alvis Grey.
Charlie, as he was affectionately known, is survived by his wife, Debbie; his son, Russell; close friends: Jerry and Rita Lee; his two sisters: Becky and Diane and a brother-in-law, Carson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan; his brother, Jimmy and sister, Margaret.
A service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held privately by his family.
