We are heartbroken as this news.  I have known Charlotte as a valued colleague and friend for many years.  She was so creative and generous with her time and talent.  She helped me make special every event we planned together, whether at Davidson College or in our own home.  I will miss her very much.

Charlotte and worked together at River Run 25 to 30 years ago we began a long and loving friendship and at one point we were roommates . I was going that very hard time in my life and she took me and became family. She helped me and inspired me through out my life I will truly miss her  . I’m happy she’s with our Lord and her Mother it’s still hart breaking to lose her so soon .. 

Charlotte and I met at Sacred Heart College and immediately became the best of friends. We studied together, laughed and cried together, played together and most importantly we prayed together. She welcomed everyone with her beautiful warm smile and even when she was feeling overwhelmed, she would take the time to help and encourage others. I am blessed to have had her in my life and I will always love her. Charlotte, I hope you are enjoying a “Cheeseburger in Paradise” save some for me. 

I will never forget the day I walked into Davidson College to be your assistant. From that first day I always said you were one of my southern moms. You taught me so much as your employee and your friend as you watched me grow. I will always remember your bright beautiful smile and all of your kind words. I love you so much and will never forget you! Until we meet again ride high with the angels my sweet friend 

Charlotte was my friend for at least 15 years. When I moved to Huntersville in 2004 she welcomed me into the Grace Covenant Singles Group as part of the leadership. From there we dug deep and wrestled with Scripture in Grace classes as we wanted to know more and thirsted for a deeper relationship with Christ. We also shared many after-church lunches with the girl gang.  She was a no compromise lady! I treasure her friendship, how she made everyone in her life feel as the most important in her life at that time, and how she made my wedding with James so beautiful with her many talents. I will miss her dearly. 

Charlotte was such a bright and beautiful presence at Davidson College. The care and enthusiasm with which she approached her work and others made every event special. I have many fond memories of Charlotte and miss her dearly here at Davidson in the Center for Teaching & Learning. May God bless and keep her family and friends as we all keep her presence and memories alive in our hearts and daily activities.

I met her over 20 years ago and worked for Charlotte in 3 different jobs.

 She was an answer to prayer when she offered me a place to live after my separation.  Her home was a sanctuary for me for over a year. She was a major help on my journey that lead me to my destination. 

She was an extraordinary woman and I’m blessed to have been led to a job interview with her which led to our friendship. She was well-loved and well-known by many. She touched the lives of and helped countless others. She loved the ‘Lover of her soul.’ She was truly a disciple of Christ and she is now with Him. 

Well done, our dear Charlotte. 

The year was 1977, Charlotte and I were both attending Harry P. Harding High School. We talked, laughed, joked, and became friends. Later that year she agreed to go with me to the junior-senior prom. 
Charlotte drove an orange Volkswagen super beetle. And it was Charlotte driving that orange Volkswagen that alerted my mother to the fact that this beautiful young lady I was dating was actually older than me. 👀 
My mother's panic of her son dating someone older  was short-lived. Once she met Charlotte she'll realized what a beautiful soul Charlotte was and no longer had any issues with my being around her.
Things were great for the next couple of months, until Charlotte received a letter from college that she had been accepted, and she moved away. 
All was not lost. We met again years later, and have been friends ever since. 
Now, Charlotte has moved away again. This time, she has gone to heaven. ✝️


Dear Charotte, you will be missed more than you could ever realize. I didn't know you as much as I would have liked! I met you through a brother in Christ, Freddie Woodard when he brought you to Trinity BC and as often as you could come to our Friday Night Bible studies. What a warm, smart and Godly lady you were and I felt blessed to hear you speak your testimony and all that the Lord did for you! I seen you as a strong Christian woman who was never ashamed of the Gospel or standing for Christ in any way! I will never forget how you encouraged me when I got up to sing at church (tears)! I asked the Lord why you had to go so soon....so many future plans.....He spoke to my Spirit man and said, "Your ways are NOT my ways.....then  peace filled my heart!"
Earth's loss is heavens gain!  This is not goodbye Charotte, just see you later beautiful one! 🙌

when Charlotte and I met 20+ years ago, we made it Grace Covenant in life group and Sunday school where are we became best buds we were always together the only time that separated us was work. During life circumstances last five years we’ve been separated but our love never stopped I dearly loved and cherished her and our friendship was growing strong again. One of Manny adventures we took was to get her puppy dog Zouzou. Of course we got lost As we often did, there were tons of ornaments the blowup kind in the front yard so he sat in the car and laughed our heads off until we can go and brought the dog home Anna and Charlotte named her Zouzou she jumped on Charlotte shoulder and Peed in her hood and then we laugh some more whenever we’re together we laughed till our bellies hurt. I can hardly wait toTo see you again my friend many blessings.

Charlotte was head of the recreation committee at sacred heart college.

She was always very talented art wise. I remember all the posters she created for all of the recreation events that hung on both campuses.

We shared many recreational events between the colleges. The most memorable was a tubing  trip down the Green River for $.43 .
People still talk about that.

She was a beautiful, spiritual talented and fun person. I miss her !!!

Charlotte was my next door neighbor when we moved into a new development in Huntersville.  She was always a beautiful soul, and a wonderful friend.  Our little cul-de-sac was very special  with the 5 families that were there.  My little dog would visit with her dog, Cookie, on many occasions.  The earth has lost a very special person, but heaven has gained an angel.  May you rest in peace, Charlotte.....my friend.

Charlotte,  I will always remember  how you prayed for me during  a difficult time in my life.  I pleaded with God to spare your life. I just dont understand.  You had so much to offer this world.  You were a light to many.  I sold you a car that you loved, that blue BMW  z3. You were so excited to have a convertible.  I also told you that  you  had to take a trip to the beach with the top down the week I sold you the car. We had many laughs about that.  Im sad as I sit here but I know you are with our Lord. 

You were such  an inspiration to me. The moment I first met you I felt like I had known you my whole life.  I’ll never forget the story you told when you were trying to save that wild baby squirrel. You had a heart of gold and anyone could see you loved Jesus more than anything. I’ll always remember your bright beautiful smile and the memories that were made. Ryan, Levi and myself love you and will miss you deeply.
