Born on August 15, 1958, Chris lived a life defined by resilience, vision, faith, and an unwavering belief in the potential of others. A devoted father and proud grandfather, he found profound joy in his family and in the legacy of love and growth he leaves behind.
For more than 35 years, Chris devoted himself to illuminating what he believed was the sacred vocation of teaching. Through his book 'Becoming the Teacher Students Love', he reminded educators that the heart of true education is not found in curriculum alone, but in connection — in presence, compassion, and the unwavering belief that every student carries divine potential. He understood that students may forget lessons, but they never forget how a teacher made them feel. His work called teachers to rise beyond instruction and become living examples of respect, emotional intelligence, and authentic leadership. In classrooms touched by his message, learning became not just academic achievement, but human awakening.
Chris' vision extended far beyond one book. Through his inspired works — 'Celestial Realm', 'New Earth Realized', and 'Perfection Healing' — he wove together education, spiritual insight, and the profound understanding that transformation begins within.
He believed healing, realization, and growth were not separate paths, but unified expressions of Divine Intelligence unfolding through human experience. Whether writing, mentoring, building businesses, or speaking, he carried a conviction that each person is capable of embodying higher awareness and expressing love in practical, everyday ways. His life’s work was not simply about teaching others — it was about activating light within them.
An entrepreneur at heart, Chris spent his life building not only businesses, but ideas, movements, and people. He was passionate about helping individuals discover their natural talents and align their work with purpose. He believed fulfillment comes when calling and action meet.
Chris was charming and never met a stranger. He had a natural warmth that drew people in and a presence that made others feel seen. He was often the loudest cheerleader in the room, sincerely wanting people to rise, rebuild, discover their gifts, and succeed. He believed deeply in others — sometimes even to a fault — always choosing to see the good and the possibility in those around him.
In his later years, Chris devoted himself more deeply to spiritual growth and to helping others strengthen their relationship with God. He believed that God is love and that every soul carries divine purpose. He encouraged others to seek peace through faith, embrace spiritual truth, and live from a place of unity, healing, and expanded awareness. His mission was to help people experience restoration by recognizing their connection to something greater than themselves.
In the past two years, Chris faced significant health challenges that created distance within some of his closest relationships. In the end, reconciliation brought healing and restored connection — a testament to the enduring power of family, forgiveness, and grace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Katherine Harper, and brother, Danny Harper.
He is survived by his children: Christina Harper Woods and her husband, Michael Woods, and their children; Gabriel and Corbin; Natalie Harper Bruno and her husband, Herman Bruno, and their children, Elena, Sophia, and Tahlia; John Alexander Harper; Raphael Nogueira Harper; and Leonardo Nogueira Harper; as well as siblings, Jimmy Harper, Margie Kluttz, and Georgia Harper, and many beloved extended family members and friends.
As his earthly presence becomes eternal influence, his living message remains: become the presence that sees light in others. Let every classroom be a sanctuary of dignity. Let every lesson be an offering of love. May we honor him not only with words, but with the way we show up — intentional, compassionate, and devoted to lifting the world, one heart at a time.
Chris' story was one of growth, conviction, restoration, and love. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and in the family who carries his spirit forward.
