

Christopher Allen White was born on January 15, 1969 and transitioned on September 15, 2018 to his life of glory and peace. Chris spent his childhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he developed an outgoing, gregarious, humorous, and kind-hearted personality.
Chris graduated from the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia where he excelled in academics, basketball and track. As an ALCOA Foundation Scholar, he graduated in 1990 from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville with a dual degree in African & African-American Studies and Economics. Following University of Virginia, Chris attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he graduated in 1993.
After law school, he served as a law clerk, conducting legal research for judges in Washington, D.C, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Chris also drafted opinions on behalf of the judges to dispose of complex civil, criminal and administrative cases pending before them.
Chris opened a Philadelphia private practice in 2002. In 2003, he moved to Charlotte to start his successful firm, the Law Office of Christopher Allen White. He practiced personal injury, catastrophic injury, worker’s compensation and landlord/tenant matters.
In Charlotte, Chris also met the love his life, Janelle Plummer. They were married in June 2008. He and Janelle loved to travel. In April 2010, they were blessed with their son and only child Elijah Christopher White, whom Chris loved dearly. He was an amazing father. Chris loved his family and friends.
He is survived by: his wife, Janelle White, his son, Elijah Christopher, his mother, Melveena Jolly White, his sister, Maria Bowens, his brother, Hubie White, and his father, Hubert White. His father-in-law, James Plummer, Sr., his mother-in-law, Clyde Plummer, and his brother-in-laws, James Plummer, Jr. and Efrem Plummer. His first cousins, Benjamin “Buddy” Robinson, Pamela Jolly, Vincent Jolly, and Lauren White. Chris was the uncle to several nieces and nephews whom he so deeply loved: Kelsey White, Isaiah White, Morgan Bowens and Xavier Dunham.
