Dale was born in Bronx, NY on July 18, 1940. She lived with her family in the Bronx until 1950 when the family moved to Queens, NY. In 1962, Dale married Martin Lederer and became the proud mother of two sons, Eric in 1966 and Bruce in 1970. The family then settled in Lake Ronkonkoma on Long Island in 1971.
She was very active in her sons' early schooling, including being PTA President. She was very proud of being a New Yorker. Dale received her Masters of Social Work from State University of NY - Stony Brook. In 1989 she moved to San Diego, CA until deciding to move closer to her son Eric in Charlotte, NC. She was a member of Temple Israel in Charlotte.
She leaves behind her son, Eric and his wife Tracey and two granddaughters, Emily and Mia; her son, Bruce and his wife Karen; and her sister, Madeline (Midge) and husband Jay and their two children, Lori and Mark.
