A proud graduate of Vance High School, D’Andre was known for his ambition, his strength, and his gentle, one-of-a-kind spirit. Affectionately described as a “gentle giant,” D’Andre was loving, generous, and endlessly supportive of the people in his life. He carried himself with a calm, steady presence that brought comfort to others. His passions were many: he loved basketball, weightlifting, wrestling, and gaming. Above all, he was a family man and a dedicated working man who believed in showing up for those he loved.
D’Andre will be remembered most for his tender nature and the unwavering support he offered to friends and family. His warmth, kindness, and authenticity made him cherished by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
He leaves to forever cherish his memory his mother, Mrs. Ruth Owusu; his stepfather, Mr. Franklin Owusu; his brother, Dangilo Weaver; his fiancée, Ms. Phyllis Chesson; and his nephew, Matheson Weaver.
He is preceded in death by his father, the late Joseph Norman and grandparents, Mr. Rufus Weaver, and Mrs. Dorothy “Mama Dot” Weaver.
D’Andre’s light, though gone from this world too soon, will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him. May his soul find eternal peace.
