Dane was born on August 1st,1988 to Phyllis Clark Kerley and Alan David Kerley. A proud and lifelong Charlotte native, Dane was a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School, class of 2007. He did not stray far from his hometown for college at UNC Charlotte. However, he found he was at his best with an extended family he built at Chick-fil-a. With 19 combined years at Chick-fil-a, Dane took pride in the organization and found purpose in the training and management of the young staff.
Dane's interests reflected his loyal character. Raised an NC State and Carolina Panther fan, Dane was always ready to chat about their respective seasons. He took great care of things most important to him in life - his car, his yard, and his friends and family. More important is the care he took of his mother. On days off from work Dane was easy to find, cleaning up the yard, barbequing and watching a game.
Dane leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and service with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Phyllis Clark Kerley, brother Chase Daniel Kerley (Ashley), and his nieces Anna Adams Kerley and Price Caroline Kerley.
Services to honor Dane's life will be held on August 11th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Chapel in Pineville, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte NC.
Dane's presence will be profoundly missed, but his patience, quiet ways and smile will be a comfort to us always.
