Born in Reading PA, he was raised in Wilkes Barre PA as well as Pineville NC. He was a former Marine and was a member of Del Vets Post #1, the American Legion Post 28, and the Marine Corp League.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Jefferson Hudson, and his mother, Emma (Piontek) Hudson. David leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Susan Genevieve Hudson, his daughters, Donna Marie Hudson, Daphne Marie Held, and Dennise Marie Herskind, his step daughter Genevieve Mergan Hanna and grandchildren, Thomas Gene Sabatine, Jr., Paul August Herskind, III, Dominique Marie Herskind, and step grandson Dustin Hanna.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012, at the Pineville City Cemetery, 211 Lowry St., Pineville, NC. The Reverend Jim Lytle will officiate.
