David Wahlberg, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 14, 2024, at the age of 89. David is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carol; daughters Debra (George Metcalfe) and Sharon Klein (William); grandchildren Morgan and Brandon; sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews and nieces, and a large community of friends. David was an advertising executive in New York City for more than 40 years. He was an active board member of Sinai Reform Temple in Bay Shore, New York, and a long-time member of Temple Beth El and the Jewish Community Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. David’s life was exemplified by love of family, integrity, and taking care of those whom he loved. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinsons Foundation and VIA Hospice will be appreciated.
