Della W Rymer

Mrs. Rymer was born June 25, 1922 in Iredell County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Blanche Whitlow.

Following graduation from Davidson High School, she furthered her education at Cabarrus County Hospital (now Atrium Healthcare Northeast) in Concord, North Carolina where she received a degree in Nursing in the first class in 1945. During her career as a Registered Nurse, she was employed at Charlotte Memorial Hospital (Now Atrium Healthcare Main) for 16 years.

Mrs. Rymer has been a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church for over 50 years and enjoyed all phases of church life, especially Senior Citizens.

Her husband William H. Rymer, Jr. preceded her in death in 1986; and, son, James (Tim) Rymer, in 2015.

Those left to cherish her memory are son William H. Rymer, III (wife Jade), daughter Elizabeth R. Wilson (husband Jim), Daughter-In-Law Denise Rymer, grandchildren Colette Rymer, Tonia McCorkle (husband Tim), James Wilson, Jr., Jacob Rymer and great grandchildren, Victoria Schmidt and Taylor McCorkle.

A visitation for Mrs. Rymer will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210, with the funeral service immediately next in the Chapel at 12 noon. A graveside service will continue right afterwards at 2:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
