Dennis Edward Duncan, 84, of Gastonia, NC passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Born September 9, 1940 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Ellis Andrew and Edith Beatrice (Reynolds) Duncan. He married Judy Justice on June 7, 1963 in Charlotte.
A graduate of West Mecklenburg High School, Dennis was a veteran of the North Carolina Air National Guard where he served his country for 38 years until retirement.
An avid hunter, Dennis enjoyed fishing, wood working, football and basketball.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy J. Duncan; brother, Gary (Dianne) Duncan; sister-in-law, Dot Murphey; nieces, Jamie Conlon and Terri Fox; nephews, Dan Murphey and Charlie Justice; along with numerous friends.
Along with his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his son, Daren Duncan.
A memorial service for Dennis will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. Visitation 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
