Dennis was born in Troy, NY and lived his early years in New York, Africa, Texas and Louisiana. He began his military career in 1987 joining the Navy. During his Naval career, he served on the USS Guam. The personnel on the USS Guam received special recognition for their participation in the humanitarian rescue of the 281 souls in the American Embassy Mogadishu compound on January 5 and 6, 1991. He was honorably discharged from Naval duty in 1995.
After leaving the navy he attended the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL and received his bachelors degree in Logistics management.
He transitioned to the Army reserve in 2011. He was most recently a member of the 1189th Transportation Brigade as an Operation and Safety officer.
On 5 June, 2017 he left behind his wife Angela and his son Michael. In addition he left behind his mother Marie, sisters Teresa and Cathleen and brother John.
He will forever be missed
