

He was born on April 1, 1931, in Des Moines, IA, to Don E. and Doris Brock Cochell.
Don married Mary Elizabeth Greene on November 23, 1951, in Shelby, NC.
He was a Korean War veteran having served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He graduated from mortuary school in Kansas City, MO. He and his wife Elizabeth owned and operated Cochell Funeral Home in Albany, MO.
Mr. Cochell was a member of the Raymore Christian Church in Raymore, MO, where he was a former elder. He was also a Mason. Don enjoyed wood carving, genealogy, golfing and playing bridge. Don was a past member of the Rotary and Chamber of Commerce and former mayor of Albany.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Elizabeth Cochell, Charlotte; two sons, James E. Cochell, wife Sandra Y., and their children, Eddie, Abbie, Kenneth and Lily Mae Cochell, Charlotte, and William S. Cochell, wife Jeannie E., and their children, Billie and Ellery, Phoenix, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kenneth G. Cochell.
Funeral services will held on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Raymore Christian Church in Raymore, MO. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Grandview Cemetery in Albany, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Raymore Christian Church or Albany Christian Church.
