She passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
She is survived by her son, Carl A. Todd Jr. (Marie); daughters, Tracy Todd Burris and Sherri Todd Wright (Alan); and grandchildren, Carlie Todd and John Todd.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Marian B. Rush and Elizabeth B. Small.
Doris retired after 20 years from Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. She was a member of Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church for several years and a member of Adult Spiritual Life class there.
She will be entombed in the Garden of Serenity at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive in Charlotte. Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’s name to Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church.
